CURTIS JONES PARK SET TO OPEN TUESDAY, OCT. 25

After nearly two years of planning, fundraising and construction - NW Goldberg Cares is ready to celebrate the return of a playground and basketball court in the neighborhood.

NW GOLDBERG CARES TO TRANSFORM VACANT LOT INTO COMMUNITY PARK

 NW Goldberg Cares today announced they are transforming a vacant lot into a community park. The organization has exceeded its $300,000 fundraising goal thanks to two large contributions. These pledges will allow the grassroots community development organization to complete their largest public space project to-date - THE CURTIS JONES PARK. 


POCKET PARK TO HOST PERFORMANCES, THANKS TO FOX’S “THE BIG LEAP”

NW Goldberg Cares will unveil a new pocket park this month to celebrate performance and artistic expression in the NW Goldberg neighborhood. Funding for the park was made possible by FOX’s upcoming new series, “The Big Leap,” which is set in Detroit.


$75,000 SECURED FOR SUSTAINING DETROIT’S LEGACY PROGRAM PILOT

KICKBALL GAME TO HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR NEW PARK

Recently, KABOOM!, the national non-profit working to end playspace inequity for good, and the Built to Play Initiative, supported by Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, announced the winners of the Play Everywhere Design Challenge.
