NW Goldberg Cares opened the neighborhood’s first art park on September 12, 2019.
The corner pocket park features trees, shrubs, a recycled rubber mulch pathway, seating, a raised wooden deck, a Free Little Library and a steel art piece fabricated by neighborhood artist Ryan Doyle. The ART PARK serves as an easily accessible green space offering residents a chance for artistic expression and serenity.
The ART PARK was funded through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Public Spaces Community Places grant program, with individuals and corporations donating over $8,000 and the MEDC providing a $5,100 match.
