NW GOLDBERG TO HOST DIA REPRODUCTIONS THIS SUMMER

Detroit Institute of Arts Inside|Out and NW Goldberg Cares partner to program NW Goldberg public spaces

Detroit, MI — The Detroit Institute of Arts is bringing six art reproductions to NW Goldberg and its NW Goldberg Cares’ pocket parks as part of Inside|Out, an innovative program that delivers and installs high-quality reproductions from the DIA’s collection to outdoor venues in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties.

“We are ecstatic to be a part of this year's Inside|Out program,” said NW Goldberg Cares’ Director of Programming Jordan Yagiela. “We strive to bring valuable experiences to our community, and to be able to bring a variety of unique fine art here for our neighbors to enjoy within walking distance of their homes is accomplishing that goal!”

NW Goldberg is one of 24 communities across Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties to host Inside|Out in 2021.

Pieces will be on view from May through October.

“Inside|Out helps us engage and inspire the communities around us. We are excited to bring our world-renowned collection of art beyond the museum walls and directly into NW Goldberg,” said Salvador Salort-Pons, DIA director.

Throughout NW Goldberg Cares’ pocket parks, the DIA will feature high-quality reproductions.

The DIA’s Inside|Out art installations are featured across NW Goldberg and placed within walking or bike-riding distance from each other. Locations include:

  • ART PARK - 6102 16th St Detroit, MI 48208

  • HOLLAND MAZE LITERACY PARK - 6134 15th St Detroit, MI 48208

  • REST & RIDE PARK - 6327 Linwood Detroit, MI 48208

All Inside|Out art installations are listed at dia.org/insideout

As a part of the tri-county millage passed in 2012, the DIA offers free museum admission to any resident living in Macomb, Oakland or Wayne counties. The millage also supports free programs such as Inside|Out and “Thursdays at the Museum.”

Programs, such as the Inside|Out, are made possible with support from residents of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.
