MEMORIES IN SONG invites inspiring songwriters to engage in an intergenerational, family friendly collaborative musical experience. Writers and community members of all levels can practice their storytelling skills, develop new strategies for creating material, and build confidence in their relationship to songwriting.

Through collecting and translating interviews into songs, this series offers a group-writing experience that celebrates the lives of our neighbors, works to preserve local history, and promote collective nourishment.

Community members will share their stories while participants listening and recording details. With support, those details will be distilled down into song form. This guided songwriting process will result in a finished song/s which will be performed musically by the instructor and participants at the end of each session.

Led by award-winning singer-songwriter, Audra Kubat, this series will take place at the ART PARK.
